Today I am beginning a "scary" adventure. My own photography website/blog. However, I will make it less scary by simply saying that photography is a beautiful part of art, that I truly believe God has been the creator of. God has given us so many abilities and an incredible capacity to think and create. I am in awe. In awe of life, where it begins, the middle and the end. We all at some point experience all of it. Photography is a way to see life as a timeline. I love to create timelines for people and this why I am here beginning this new phase of life! :)
Let's begin our first entry by introducing a special friend of mine. We met in Barcelona, Spain and we had a special bond. She is from Colorado and I had been living in Spain for a few months after living in Maine for many years. Any American I met in Spain was a way for me to connect to that part of me. However, we had an additional connection. We are sisters in Christ. Last time I saw my friend was in 2010 when I went to Spain with soon-to-be my husband. We saw each other at the Hospital. My dad was dying and Tawnee and her boyfriend, Cesar, came to see us. Fast forward 6 years and we are both married with children :)
Three weeks ago we went to Barcelona to visit my mom and grandma. Tawnee and I saw each other and we shared how the Lord blessed us with beautiful children. Tawnee and I could relate because we both had a hard time conceiving. In those times fear and doubt can settle in, so you have to surrender and allow God to work in you through those hard times. As we were talking, Tawnee and Cesar told us all the details about their journey. One particular one stuck to me. On a different day, we went to a Christian bookstore in Barcelona called Abba There we walked around and I saw a picture that I thought would be cute to do with her, Cesar and their precious little girl Anayah. When we got to the register, where the picture was, she went on to tell me that Cesar and her had purchased this before they found out they were expecting as a way of trusting God, His power and faithfulness. I offered to take some pictures, but it had to be that day or maybe the next day since we were leaving after that...and so it happened!
So here are some photos from this shoot. It was so special. Tawnee and Cesar's eyes were full of gratitude and joy. The kind of joy that only The Lord Jesus can create in us. Thank you for letting me be a little part of your story. Until we meet again :)
